Looking for a quick and festive craft to add a little sparkle to your 4th of July celebration? This DIY Pipe Cleaner Crown is such a fun and easy project- and you only need two things: pipe cleaners and a headband! πΊπΈ

Whether youβre heading to a parade, watching fireworks, or just hanging out in the backyard, these crowns add a playful, patriotic touch that kids (and grown-ups!) will love.
What Youβll Need:
- Pipe cleaners in silver, red, white, and blue
- A plain headband
- Optional: star cookie cutter, hot glue gun for extra hold
Step-By-Step Directions:
βοΈΒ Create your stars:
Start by shaping your pipe cleaners into stars. You can freehand them, print a template, or my favorite trick: wrap them around a star-shaped cookie cutter for perfect points every time! Leave a little βtailβ on each star to wrap it onto the headband later. I made 6 stars total- 4 large and 2 small – for a fun, layered look.

π«Β Attach your stars:
Wrap the tail ends of your stars around the top of the headband to secure them in place. If you want a little extra hold, you can add a dab of hot glue at the base of each oneβbut I didnβt find it necessary for ours!

π Wrap the headband:
Take additional pipe cleaners and wrap them around the full length of the headband, overlapping the spots where you attached your stars. This not only hides the ends but keeps everything snug and secure.

πΒ Comfort tip:
If your kids are sensitive, you may want to leave about an inch bare on each end of the headband. That way, the pipe cleaners donβt irritate the backs of their ears!
And thatβs it- your sparkly crown is ready to shine!Β π₯

These sparkly headbands are perfect for parades, parties, or a backyard barbecue. They add just the right amount of flair without taking a ton of time or materials.
