Howdy, partner! I’m so excited to share all the details of our Toy Story birthday party with you! This is one of those party themes I just loved putting together. I wanted it to feel whimsical and imaginative, full of bright colors, homemade touches, and playful details. There are so many DIY elements throughout, and I hope you feel inspired to recreate some of these ideas at home for your own Toy Story birthday party!
Toy Story Party Supplies
Planning a Toy Story party? I’ve rounded up all of the party supplies, decor, and DIY materials I used below to help you easily recreate this setup!

Toy Story Party Decorations
Paper chains hanging from the ceiling and a hand-painted “Happy Birthday” banner are simple but impactful DIY decorations and are a great place to start for any kids party. Balloon clusters in primary colors and fun prints accented the sign, while the table was set with a bold yellow ruffled tablecloth and a confetti-dotted table runner.

The table’s main inspiration came straight from Andy’s playroom. I started by making a DIY centerpiece inspired by the movie’s cardboard town. I cut the building shapes from a long piece of cardboard, then had the kids help decorate them with paint markers. I zigzag-folded the piece of cardboard so that it would stand on its own (without taking up the space of actual boxes!), and it instantly brought a creative, whimsical child-built energy to the tabletop.
From there, I layered in oversized alphabet blocks that I made by adding letters to small gift boxes, along with some large Toy Story figures to tie everything together.

The place settings incorporate a few of my favorite nods to the Toy Story movie. At each spot, I layered blue and yellow plates with a red star napkin to resemble the iconic Pixar ball. I also added a personalized “moving box” that I created using a brown paper bag.

To make them, cut off the top portion of the bag, make a one inch cut at each corner, and fold the sides down to create a box shape. I labeled each one with “child’s name + toys” and filled them with a good2grow Toy Story character drink, along with utensils wrapped in Woody’s signature red bandana and a sheriff badge.
Each chair had a red or brown cowboy hat draped across the back, giving the kids a fun way to dress up and jump right into the fun.

Another standout DIY piece was the favor wall, designed to look like something straight out of Pizza Planet! Using foam insulation board, I built and painted a rocket with shelving to hold the green alien favor boxes. The LED “Happy Birthday” sign at the top was the perfect finishing touch!
Toy Story Food Ideas
One of the most fun and interactive elements of the party was the Pizza Planet-inspired food area.

I put together a make-your-own pizza station with crust, sauce, cheese, and a variety of toppings. The kids loved building their own pizzas! I designed space-inspired printables for signage and personal-sized pizza box labels to make it feel extra special!
For dessert, I kept things simple but playful by dressing up store-bought cupcakes with sprinkles, Toy Story mini figurines, and alphabet cookies spelling out “Happy Birthday.”

Throughout the party, I incorporated good2grow Toy Story drinks featuring Woody, Buzz, and Jessie. The fun character toppers add the cutest themed touch and are always a go-to for my kids’ parties since they’re spill-proof, delicious, and double as a take-home item! Toy Story Party Favors
For party favors, I created the little green alien boxes to fill our “Claw” machine! I used green favor boxes and added white dot labels for the eyes and a hand-drawn smile. Each one was filled with a good2grow drink and a few classic toy goodies like mini Rubik’s cubes, Etch A Sketches, slinkies, and yo-yos for a fun, nostalgic touch.

This Toy Story birthday was such a fun way to celebrate childhood magic with so many colorful, creative details throughout. I hope you found some inspiration for planning your own Toy Story party!
