I am so excited to share how I brought Disney’s Encanto to life in this magical kids’ party! Check out the details below as well as all the Encanto party supplies you’ll need to create your own magical fiesta!
Encanto Birthday Decorations
I knew I wanted to incorporate the bright and colorful aesthetic from the movie to our party. I made an arched backdrop (Find all the details on how to DIY your own arched backdrop on my Instagram here!) to resemble the casita’s door (painted Sherwin Williams Aquarium from their Encanto color collection) and added a large balloon and tissue paper flower garland in colors that were prominent throughout the movie. Butterflies were a common element throughout the movie and they were added across the backdrop (tip: I used this sticky tac to adhere them) as well as throughout the tablescape.
The table was inspired by the Madrigal’s beautiful home and the scenes in the movie where they gather around the table. You’ll find floral plates, colorful fringed napkins, and a printed tablecloth.
I found a variety of woven baskets and wooden serving trays from thrift stores. Lastly, I scattered battery operated candles, tea lights, small cut floral bouquets (Trader Joe’s is my favorite place to always find a variety of affordable blooms!), and even more butterflies! Each table setting includes a good2grow drink featuring a Disney Encanto character.
Encanto Birthday Party Food Ideas
An Encanto party isn’t complete without Julieta’s arepas!
I purchased ours from a local latino supermarket, but Disney has also shared a recipe inspired by the movie’s Colombian arepas con queso on their Twitter account if you want to try your hand at making your own! We enjoyed them with sides of corn on the cob, avocado, lime, and tomatoes.
Encanto Party Ideas
As a party activity, we made magical candles using our empty good2grow juice bottles! Simply remove the label and topper and add stickers. Flip it over and place on top of a battery-powered tea light to illuminate. The kids loved how these little lanterns turned out!
Another fun craft was lacing and decorating foam satchels like Mirabel’s.
Of course, we also had a dance party with all the fun music from the movie soundtrack!
Encanto Party Favors
The party favors are inspired by Mirabel’s “not special-special” gift that she was given at the beginning of the movie: a pinwheel, ball catch toy, and swirl lollipop in a small woven basket (Target Dollar Spot).

February 7, 2024Beautiful! I was wondering how did you make your arch? I’m guessing wood since you painted it but, did you find a tutorial to make it? And how tall was your arch? 6ft, 7ft?
